Fudje and Fudgg

Fudje Website Fudgg Website

After considering the creation of Channel Islands website portals for several years, hypertexture has recently begun developing Fudje and Fudgg - a pair of websites dedicated to the bailiwicks of Jersey and Guernsey.

Both websites are currently in their infancy, providing simple one page portals to regularly updated news, weather and tidal information together with a selection of useful links in a clean and simple interface. Further features will be added to both Fudje and Fudgg in due course.

We have chosen to use the Drupal CMS as the foundation to these sites, which will provide the flexibility required for the many proposed elements of the project.

As well as supporting access by a wide variety of web-browsers, a recent addition to the Fudjg websites has been the inclusion of support for the sites on Apple's iPhone and iTouch devices.

These websites are currently under development.

The Channel Islands Family History Society

CIFHS Website

The Channel Islands Family History Society contacted hypertexture to redesign their existing website following an attack on the old site by hackers.

After recovering data lost during the attack using the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, we developed a design for the new website using the Drupal CMS, which is now hosted with hypertexture.

Société Jersiaise Search Facilities

Société Jersiaise Photographic Archive Website Société Jersiaise Library Website

As part of our ongoing work with the Société Jersiaise, hypertexture was commissioned with the development of the web interfaces for the Société's Photographic Archive and Library databases.

Both databases utilised the latest versions of Adlib's museum and library database software, with the Photographic Archive database having been upgraded from a previous version.

The Photographic Archive and Library installations were both heavily customised by hypertexture to utilise the design of the new Société Jersiaise website, and in the case of the Photographic Archive, data records were linked to the Société's online shop to allow direct purchasing of prints from the archive.

Demonstrating our SEO coding techniques, the Jersey Elections 2008 website appeared on the first page of Google for the keyword combination of 'jersey elections' within a week of the site going online.

Ex-Libris Books contacted hypertexture to request the creation of a facility to edit the content of their website themselves without recourse to a web-designer each time an alteration to the site was required.

As well as providing new hosting services for Ex-Libris Books, we have re-worked their existing site to utilise the hypertexture Content Management System so that they now have complete control over the content of their website.
